![]() ![]() If I get a new IP, all friends of mine or who trusts me, has that IP not, so they cannot connect. This is as well a setting of a group of friends for me and a group of friends of the friend. Second: - in v0.5, peers exchange lists of ips and forward the ips of their friend to people that trust these ips. they need to exchange certs again, which is not possible, as they have already added and newbies cannot fiddle out, where to enter IP adresses in retroshare, nor do they even know their IP and often they do not know the port, if they use UPNP and any other port is choosen, then the friend even knwoing the IP cannot connect due to the wrong port. they might connect at that evening as firewall is no reason anymore.but both on T-online getting at midnight a new IP and on the other day retroshare does not connect. two one interested person in retroshare trying to convince a friend to try it out. Retroshare v5 has never been released and so we are in the same state as retroshare 03 begun. that does not solve anything, as 2 friends never connect, if there is at midnight a new non-stable IP has interrupted by the telecom. Ok i see, that was fixed last week, so that external Ip was shown under the v5 cert. What does that mean?`in a key is a cert? thought a cert is a key, you mean IP is under your cert. "- we send friend keys in their certificates, which allows to bootstrap"
